day 23 ~ a little elf for your pleasure... (finally, huh?)

This year's christmas card took on a whole new challenge... well, not really but I'm looking for sympathy points here as I feel completely humiliated for not completing my countdown to christmas on time!!

My first idea for the card this year was to do a Photo Card... it's been 6 years since I started making my cards and back in 2003, that was the last time I did a Photo Card. So my original idea was to "copy" Ellen and Oprah's idea seen here...

My idea was to wrap up TL in the lights and have me be the one to electrocute him "pretend" to light him up... In fact we even had a photo shoot with my 10 year old nephew helping us as the photographer, but unfortunately between TL's complete lack of team playing, and Ryan's questionable photography skills (okay, he's 10, I forgive him) none of the 29 pictures came out good enough for me to make 60 copies to send out to our friends and family.

So I had to come up with plan B. If you'll notice in some of the earlier countdown days you'll see that I had the Christmas Elf on my brain and this is why...
