day 20 ~ we ate, danced and gambled the night away...

Last night TL and I got to go to his company's Holiday Party. It was quite festive and we felt like royalty for most of the night. It was held at the Pechanga Resort and Casino, located in Temecula, about an hour from here... We had a great day preparing for our little road trip and once we got to the Casino, we had some pre-party time to check out the resort. I was able to "eyeball" the Craps tables ahead of time, so I knew right where I'd most likely be ending the evening of celebrating.

We were both pretty impressed with the Hotel/Resort/Casino and even though it smelled like smoke (seriously?) we anticipated having a grand evening. Here are some photos of our quaint room...



We met up with the others for a very nice dinner... I opted for the Salmon with Spinich Risotto. (as not to embarrass TL, I snuck this photo in "real quick" with the phone, so excuse the crappy editing)

I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. It was that delicious. It was fun to mingle with the people that TL works with, and getting to see a different side to TL through their eyes. He's well liked and it warmed my heart to see that they all seem to think he's a good guy as well as the "jokester" of the group, because that's just who he is.

After the wonderful dinner we all moved onto the theater, and enjoyed an hour long comedy show. The comedian was none other than Ron White, the Scotch drinking comedian. He was crass, but very funny. I guess we were just in the "right mood."

After the show, we hit the tables... (also a "sneeky shot" taken with the phone, I'm lucky to have not been arrested for taking this shot, as the next time I pulled it out, I got yelled at... whoopsi)

 

From there the night went on, my nephew and sis'nlaw came to join us, we hit the nightclub and got our "dance on"  and gambled even a tad more.

 

Let's just say we had a fabulous time and it was a great night! We thank TL's company very much for including us!!

ps... and I won $90 on the crap table. merry merry to me!!

OMG!!! I love to go to the casino! There is one here in Madrid, but it's closed during the daytime so we haven't had a chance to check it out on a girls' outing. I usually like to recon things with the girls and if it's good, go back with the hubby! Sounds like you had a great time!

Late to the party, but what a time you had. You look spectacular and because I am a full-blooded hillbilly, I do loves me some Ron White. What a blast!
