a moment of silence...

It's been a little quiet around here... My computer died. Let's have a moment of silence...

I'm pretty sure it's the Power Supply, as it just won't turn on. It tries to, then it just poops out before it boots up. Sigh... We have a laptop I can use, but it's just not the same as my trusty ole' computer that I've had for almost 6 years. I love my computer. It has ALL 6000+ plus photos I've taken, it's got all my favorite sites favorited right where I can find them, and it's got the 20 different versions of my resume on there. Basically, it's got my whole life on there and now it's being held hostage...

I've been avoiding what to do about it, as I'm not sure if I just want to just scrap it and start fresh, clean and all over again, or spend the money to replace the Power Supply, and then finally go out and get that external hard drive I've been meaning to get for the past 6 years. I know, I know... you can shake your head and point your finger at me. I deserve it. The shame.

Anyway......... I'll keep you posted after I figure out what to do, but in the mean time I'm taking a break from being online. It really has free'd up my free time. I spend way too much time on here lolly-gagging and lately I seemed to have gotten a lot done!!

beach weather...

It's HOT! Not like Africa Hot, but like Southern-California-in-July-but-it's-only-January-Hot. I really hate to be a complainer, I mean, how annoying... But, I really want to wear a turtle neck and some long sleeves, I want to wear my boots, and all my warm winter SCARVES.  I wasn't finished enjoying my weekends in front of the fireplace yet...

Oh well, I guess the only option I have is to hit the beach!

a full moon rising...

Tonight there will be a full moon. Being a Moon-Child, this always has fascinated me. I like the moon. I even have one tatoo'd on my body. (don't judge, I was young and mad at the world carefree...)

Anyway... Tonight is a special full moon. Apparently, it will (appear) bigger and brighter than any other moon in 2009. If you're around right at sunset, be sure to step outdoors and look east to feast. If you happen to miss it, you can see almost as good on Sunday as well.

happy new year... oh-nine!

2008 is outta here. And if I am going to be completely honest with you, I am so f'n hapy about that. It wasn't a stellar year for me personally and, well, I'm over it. Way over it. Good-bye, good riddance, siyanara bitches.

There were some good things that did happen; I had a lovely visit from my Aunt Vickie in July, I also got to spends lots of fun times with my niece and nephews. Mark and I enjoyed many weekends at the beach, learning to appreciate the beauty all around us here in So Cal. I met some lovely new friends and reunited with some old friends too.  There really were some truly wonderful things that happened this year, but overall, I can't say it was one of my favorites...

Let us move on to this new year, new beginnings, positivity and all that good vibey stuff. Yep, that's what I'm talking about. 2009 baby...
