"Don't even try and call us about it, because we don't really care, we're too busy enjoying our Eggnog and Brandy over here at NoPhotoStampsdotcom, but we are enjoying a big hearty laugh at the snapshots you sent us. Thanx." Ps. Merry Christmas, and here's a 10% coupon for the next order we won't be filling for you..."
Even though you have been really getting on my nerves lately, I mean with all the "yeah, yeah, yeah's" when your guests are in mid sentence, and the constant fake smiles and glares at your guests as if to say to them, "I really feel you man," and don't even get me started on how you acted on your road trip, as if your friend Gail is the crazy one for actually wanting to listen to music on the radio while driving THREE THOUSAND MILES across the US... You said you just wanted to be with your "thoughts..?" Girl, nobody has THAT MANY thoughts. It was almost as if you were telling the world you hate music, that anything you come up with in your own head is much more edible than hearing Celine, Dolly or Lionel. Give me a break. The only thing that series you did about your Road Trip, was make me realize that I actually do like Gail. But you, not so much.
But back to why I am writing to you in the first place... I digress. I just wanted to let you know that even though you've been getting on my nerves lately (I still love you and would cry like a baby and probably wet my pants if I ever got to see your show live, again with digressing...) I feel like that you have somewhat redeemed yourself after seeing yesterday's episode. You know, the one with these 4 Musical Giants, Tony Bennett, Carrie Underwood, Josh Groban, and Michael Buble... It's as if you read my mind. As if you plucked them right off the playlist of my Ipod. I guess that was the whole point of the show and all, but since you and I haven't been seeing eye to eye lately, I almost thought we'd never again be in sync. (also seeing as you're a size 10 now and I still have a big fat 2 in front of my size...)
These 4 guests brought a joy the size of Texas to my heart and I will be saving this episode on my TiVo for a long time to come. Tony Bennett, the classic. He's no Dean Martin, but for being one of the only oldies still alive, I'll take him anyday over most of the shit out there now. Carrie Underwood, she's my girl and just like ME she's from Oklahoma, we could be sisters you know. Seeing her blossom these days just brings a tear to my eye, class act all the way. Josh Groban, one word, Saint. This boy has the voice of an Angel. And lastly, my actual boyfriend, Michael Buble... Seeing him standing side by side with his idol, Tony Bennett was just too much to take. I'm pretty convinced he will feel the same way once he meets me.
So, thank you Oprah for having a clue, (or listening to your staff) and booking these 4 wonderful and positively star studded singers on your show. Who needs your "Favorite Things" list when we can watch and listen to these 4 sing their music?
